Good point, if you are using seperate CF instances per app, we usually don't, using 
CFMX in standalone mode.  But in the futur this would be changing.  Yet, I do not see 
the justification for a seperate CF instance for say two web based database apps that 
have a total of only say 50 pages each whereas I do see the justification for 
seperates DSNs and settings for these two.

I like Ray Camden's method though for getting application settings to a CFC.  These 
settings could be in the CFC itself or pull from a config file.  I think MachII does 
this, no?  Or something similar, I haven't deleved that deep into MachII yet.
