Years ago, the ability to use <cfmodule template="../myTag.cfm"> solved two problems regarding custom tags:
I know you can use:
<cfobject component="MyComponent" name="ComponentResult">
When the component is in the same directory. I thought you could use:
<cfobject component="../MyComponent" name="ComponentResult">
Just as easily.
Am I missing something?
