Well, I don't think you can switch from the Session scope to the Client
scope without sacrificing speed - it's simply faster to fetch data from
memory than it is to fetch it from the database. That's one of the
advantages that the Session scope has over the Client scope.

However, in exchange for sacrificing speed, you get other things in return -
potentially greater stability, and the ability to easily deploy your
application in a failover environment.
