Tom,

This indicates the mappings that are supposed to exist to map 
http://[devserver]/flashservices/gateway to the Flash gateway servlet are not set up 
correctly.

If you search on CF Support at macromedia.com, you'll find the some TechNotes that 
cover this and provide remedies.

I’m trying to get remoting working on my development
server.  I’ve tried http://[dev server]/flashservices/gateway to see
if I get a blank page and that has failed.  I’ve downloaded the
flash remoting components from http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashremoting/downloads/components
and no luck.  What should I try next?  Is there a setting I’ve
missed when I installed ColdFusion MX?  Is there a Flash MX list you can point
me too?
