I may be missing something, but isn't the idea behind webservices that
it is up to the consumer to supply the right arguments and handle any
errors that occur from not doing so?

If the return type of the function is query, I need to return a error
as
a query object. If it is a struct, I have to return it as a struct. If

it is a string I will return it as xml.

If the returntype is any, then I will have to create a custom
documentor
that will expose the service documentation to the user.

I do not want to go through all that for every function that I want to

be able to provide as a service. And I am unwilling to go through that

many hoops because those hoops would have to be documented for the
framework. That is just too much overhead to provide functions as a
webservice autormatically.

Thanks for the ideas.
