You have to create a registry entry on the computer you want to make it the default client for. Then it will be available in the options for choosing it as a default client. There's probably another registry setting to force the default without having to go select it, but I'm not sure off the top of my head.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\WebMail]
@="Web Mail Client"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\WebMail\shell\open\command]
@="%ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" "http://webaddress/"

You know how you can set Outlook, Outlook Express, or Thunderbird (etc.) as the default email program? I am writing some intranet software and would like to have a web based email software rather than those options. The only real thing missing is the ability to have system requests for email to load the content in the browser rather than an external package.
Any ideas?
Thanks…
