I think the problem is that hexadecimal format uses two characters for each
packet of data. Think about colors in hex format: #FF003C.... If you just
want ABC then it probably suppose to be "ABC0" as AB is the first packet,
and CO would be the second packet. 

Not sure, just a guess.

<cfoutput>#binaryencode(binarydecode('ABCDE','HEX'),'HEX')#</cfoutput>
And
<cfoutput>#binaryencode(binarydecode('ABCDEFG','HEX'),'HEX')#</cfoutput>

Can anybody duplicate this problem on CF7?

It should output ABC but it only gives me AB.
Binarydecode appears to lose the last character.
