A few years ago, there was a cartoon out called "Reboot", which had characters running around inside a computer.
You can imagine what kind of animations they had for things like a firewall, etc. So anyway, one day my son came up to me and he said "Dad, inside the computer...is there a thing called 'null'"? "Yes", I said. "There definitely is." "And does it kind of...suck the life out of you?" he asked. "THAT'S IT!" I exclaimed. "NULL SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS! THAT'S IT EXACTLY!
