That’s a very vague question :P

Is CF creating the spreadsheet?  If so, is it using any libraries (apache POI, native CSV, XML)?

Is it just a native .xls file?  If that’s the case, then you may have a mime-type incorrectly configured on the webserver.

Subject: [CFCDev] opening a spreadsheet loads Object

When I click on a link to a spreadsheet file on the server Excel starts, loads a blank spreadsheet with the title 'Object' and then opens the sheet in the browser.

Is there a simple way to stop this?

Thanks
