I'm with Sam on this - where possible you should aim to have a daily
build. If the daily build is broken - it gets fixed asap.

Umm the contractors working offsite, the team in India, the team in
our other offices working on various parts of the application... we
sometimes have projects with developers working in Australia, India
and the UK - breaking everyone's local sandbox because they have just
updated - not only harms productivity it costs money when you add up
the wasted man hours.
