I think interfaces are and will be useful from the perspective of a development team. They provide a way to document an API, and allow others to collaborate on API design without worrying about what the underlying implementation will be. They won't be useful to "just framework developers" - they will be useful to anyone writing an API, which is pretty much everyone that works on all but the *smallest* applications. People have this odd idea that writing an API is something you only do for other developers... you should write them for yourself!
