As Brian mentioned, there isn't really a possibility of collision. You may have the same name, but you will need to prefix that call with the name of the object it's contained in.

I don't generally bother scoping them - I don't see a point or any usefulness in immediately knowing whether a function is public or private when I'm using it within its own CFC.
