Hi

I decided to switch to Apache 2.0.35 from IIS, to experience CF , Apache
environment.

I can not configure Apache to work with CF server 5.0 . I added thes
lines to httpd.conf :

LoadModule coldfusion_module modules/ApacheModuleColdFusion.dll
AddModule mod_coldfusion.c

But Apache does not start when I added these lines. It gives me this
error: "The request operation failed" !

I have also copied ApacheModuleColdFusion.dll to modules directory.

Please Help...

Here are a couple of quotes from Todays release:

"ColdFusion MX defines a new role for ColdFusion in the enterprise. With
ColdFusion MX, we're making it incredibly easy for mainstream developers
to create rich Internet applications and use XML and web services," said
Jeremy Allaire, chief technology officer, Macromedia. "The new
standards-based architecture and breakthrough ease of use for web
services mean customers can harness the proven productivity of
ColdFusion to enhance the return on their investments in Java and .NET
Framework infrastructures."

"UPS relies on ColdFusion for the hundreds of global intranet
applications that enhance our business every day," said Al Carvalho, UPS
intranet systems manager. "The migration to ColdFusion MX was very
smooth and introduces benefits such as XML and ColdFusion Components to
our development platform. Macromedia Flash Remoting is an area that
interests us for future applications. We think that Macromedia Flash
Player, combined with the power of the UPS server infrastructure, shows
promise for a better user experience."
