today macromedia released a new server for managing real-time audio, video,
and data connections in flash 6. known as "flashcom," it communicates with
flash over a persistent tcp/ip connection (just like xmlsocket), but it uses
real actionscript data structures rather than xml, and can send/record audio
and video streams. it's nice and full featured with a good server-side
(actionscript!) api and good extensibility.

ever take a trip through the actions panel and wonder what NetConnection,
Camera, and Microphone were for? go find out.....
