Hi.

I am using Access XP and running MS SQL Server Service Manager v8.00.194
on my local PC. Normally, for development, I rent space on a site that
uses a MS SQL v7.0 (aka www.magma.ca )server (I do not have Admin
privileges, for obvious reasons...).

When I create an XP project in Access, and do a File -> import from the
SQL server v7.0, I loose my keys and MS conveniently changes my VARCHAR
to NVARCHAR etc.

I have looked at doing a Tools -> Database copy (but I have Admin
privileges on my local server, not Magma).

I then tried opening the Access project I use to interface to the SQL
sever that I rent (Magma); doing a Tools -> Database Transfer
(destination server:david_ibm; use a secure connection for the local
server; name:copy_of_db_20020718).

It scripts for about 1/2 hour, then I get the following:
Dropping objects on destination database first : 99 Percent Completed
Creating Logins on destination database : 99 Percent Completed
Creating Groups on destination database : 99 Percent Completed
Creating Users on destination database : 0 Percent Completed
Creating Defaults on destination database : 0 Percent Completed
Creating Rules on destination database : 0 Percent Completed
Creating User defined datatypes on destination database : 99 Percent
Completed

And then (drum roll please...)

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Windows NT user or group
'MAGMANT\Administrator' not found. Check the name again.Initialize
servers ...

I thought I did not need Admin privileges on the remote server for a
database transfer? Only the server on my C: drive?

Any ideas?

I am without my hi speed connection for another day or so and this is
really driving me nuts...

Thanks in advance...
