Hi, name : jeff macdonald role : long time lurker ;)
Another project that I lurk in the mailing lists of is in the process of redesigning their website. The developers were talking about what approach they should use for various tasks. Then finally someone piped up and just said "lets just get it done" Granted that approach can be dangerous for a huge project, but not for a webpage :) We're talking about making a faq and a best practices document.. very simple things we're not programming a database system or anything like that, I find that "us" programmers tend to over manage and over complicate the simple. So why not grab an application out there ie twiki and start adding content, after all that's the important part. All that being said, I agree with William who said writing a wiki with CGI::App would be a great demo, it's just timly and puts our faq off even futher. Just my 2 cents..
