Now it works: $ git clone http://git.zx2c4.com/cgit cgit-master $ git submodule init downloaded git 1.7.12.4 and put it's content into the empty /git/ folder within cgit-master $ make done :)
So cgit uses that downloaded git version, not the one one has installed on ones computer, like I have $ git --version git version 1.7.9.5 _______________________________________________ cgit mailing list cgit@hjemli.net http://hjemli.net/mailman/listinfo/cgit
