My personal preference for doing things like this is to handle them manually. For
example in the first case I would have one item and when I finally did it I would post it

awareness and an application with more rules than I want to remember.
I personally prefer it when an application provides the "repeat from
completion" mode. It's rarer than it should be, but really important to
accurately modeling tasks (along with dependencies and effort/work).
There's no reason advanced functionality can't be provided without
ruining the simplicity of a UI. It's nice that you prefer to handle
such cases manually, but I prefer when apps, particularly productivity
apps, take care of obvious stuff that make me more productive and reduce
manual workflows.
So +1 to "repeat from completion date". And dependencies.

This is something that was mulled over in Sept 07. Several of us
thought it a good idea, so I think that's about +7 altogether :-)

dialog. At the time, Jeffrey suggested that under the hood it posed a
few problems. Hopefully, the re-arch will make this a little more
do-able.
