Subject: export, import, backup, restore, reload (Chandler Desktop use of words/expressions)
Adam Procter wrote: > > … Automatically reload from last backup … > In uses other than Chandler: * people usually resort to backups only when a problem occurs. That is: a negative association between the words 'backup' and 'problem'. In Chandler Desktop: * automated backups are periodically, automatically, put to very good use; the performance improvement after yesterday's (coincidental) routine on my computer was remarkable. This is: positive association between the words 'backup' and 'performance'; with neither problem nor loss of data. Enhancement bug <https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12518> focuses on words within just one dialogue, the broader implication (which I probably have not bugged) is that elsewhere in Chandler Desktop there might be better choices of words relating to export, import, backup, restore, reload et cetera. AFAICT this particular dialogue appears only ever on demand; on Mac OS X, the user presses the alt key at Chandler Desktop launch time. By pleasant/horrifying coincidence, this dialogue is one that should *pop up unexpectedly* when (only when) its use is appropriate.
