Yep, that won't be too much fun. To speed things up, you might be able to export as ICS, open that file in a text editor and do a global search and replace for the right string (not sure what that would be, though), and then import the ICS into a clean repo. This is less than ideal because it would only work for events, losing notes and starred items. Alternatively, a similar operation could be done on a .chex file. This would preserve all items and application settings, but finding exactly what the format of the file is and what you would need to do could be tricky. On top of it, .chex is not a pure text format (I see a lot of non-ascii characters in it), so you'd need the right text editor that could handle those without completely screwing up the file when you save it. (Probably emacs or vim, and most certainly not Notepad.)
