Whilst undo remains un-implemented in Chandler Desktop, its sync capabilities allow us to use Chandler Hub and other servers as a secondary store. (Whilst backup is not the truest purpose of Chandler Hub, its often used as such.) In any case: <https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3228> recognises the importance of undo. Re: the issue with deletion from a recurring event, I can't easily reproduce the symptoms you describe, mainly because I seem to have a worse issue — the options to delete a single instance, and to delete future events, have become greyed out: I'll add my bug to OSAF Bugzilla.
