Thanks, Fritz. I came to the same conclusion shortly before you responded. I found the 'set auto-sync' option from File --> Sync --> and saw that the lowest setting was 15min and that there were not 'on shutdown' options available, so I figured I'd just sync before closing each time as a good practice and that this should take care of it. I do think the wiki is misleading. It says 'To keep subscriptions in sync, you must subscribe to the shared collections twice<http://chandlerproject.org/Projects/GetStarted#Subscribe%20with%20Chandler%20Desktop>, once in Chandler Desktop and then again from Chandler Hub.' Reference: http://chandlerproject.org/Projects/GetStarted#Back up your Data and Access it
That would lead me to think I have to subscribe to my desktop collections FROM the hub (maybe equivalent to publishing from the desktop TO the hub) AND subscribe to the hub collections FROM the desktop. After removing all my desktop subscriptions (therefore only having published from desktop to hub), it still worked if I manually synced. Problem solved and happy camper. My one improvement would be to offer a 'sync upon close' option, which would make for a nice touch for those seeking to do what I'm doing. Thanks again. -John On Wed, Apr 29, 2009 at 3:26 PM, Fritz Meissner <[email protected]>wrote: > What you have done is correct; if the wiki says you have to subscribe "from > the hub" then that is misleading.
