I've been intrigued by Chandler for a long time, but never found the right entry point to just dive in. Today I was going to try again so I downloaded the latest (Mac) version and told it to import the sample data from my last attempt.
Then I thought I might be ready to start my own file with a clean slate. I'm danged if I can find out how to do this. Apparently I missed my one chance to start fresh when I first launched the update. I've searched everywhere I can think of and can't find out how to do what most any other app would let me do with a simple File:New command. Annoying! This is symptomatic of my general impressions of trying to approach the program: everywhere I turn, it seems there is some roadblock. The intro video whizzes by too fast to learn anything useful. There's no mechanism (that I can find) to send a simple support request (as opposed to a bug report, which requires a Bugzilla subscription, … ). Some other nagging things: --Who and what exactly is the OSAF, and will Chandler be around next year after I've gone through the pain of learning it? --If Chandler is so great, why haven't I heard more about it? I've read Macworld for years and don't remember ever seeing it mentioned. --R Lewis _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list unsubscribe here: http://lists.osafoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/chandler-users Chandler wiki: http://chandlerproject.org/wikihome
