On one hand, I was expecting good performance for at least a few hours or days following routine import from a backup.chex
On the other hand, my Chandler Desktop had not communicated with servers in over three months, so there were plenty of subscriptions etc. to catch up on, plenty of blue dots and a few red alerts following Sync. Subsequent reloads from more recent copies of backup.chex (working around bug 12879 and others in that area, thanks to Grant for steering) have produced a repository that allows Chandler to start and quit with acceptable speed. All things considered, this topic is probably negligible.
