Re the original question,
Does chandler support caldav servers?

— AFAICT the answer is yes; but you need to give to Chandler Desktop
(Share menu | Subscribe… )
the URL of each required collection on the CalDAV server.

(When you see Chandler Desktop automatically detect multiple collections on
a Chandler Server, that's not CalDAV; that's 'Chandler Morse Code'. For a
while, I mistakenly expected Chandler Desktop 1.0.3.x to perform similar
magic with CalDAV servers; thanks to Grant for correcting me!)

solidus
/
when subscribing to a collection using Google Calendar CalDAV service.

Focusing on DAViCal

In brief:

* yes, you can subscribe Chandler Desktop to a collection on a DAViCal
server, but there's an issue with Chandler presentation of unread markers.

Work in progress, some recent discussion logged at
<http://www.irseek.com/show.php?pageid=76b7d58cd4d811deb2909ecd19eca55b> and
Grant refers to <https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12798>.

Keyword at the moment seems to be ETag
