The manager said he was looking for someone strong in both C# and SQL but if you wanted to weight the two skill sets the most important piece is the C#.Net developer. They’re looking for someone with experience in architecting C# applications with different design patterns to expand our current custom system if that helps your candidate search. *1.Develop, maintain and improve IT and automation control systems to ensure equipment reliability, seed quality, data integrity and safety of seed manufacturing production facilities. (80%)* a. Make strategic technology decisions including architectural definition, directing high level data design, overseeing integration of data and addressing risks. b. Maintain a strong day-to-day relationship with the seed automation group, crop leads and site production and maintenance personnel to help resolve production challenges. c. Analyze and develop new functionality for our Manufacturing Execution System as required by the business. d. Administer 35+ separate SQL databases requiring experience and understanding of relational modeling, TSQL and denormalized views. e. Maintain 3rd party preventative maintenance software used by each manufacturing facility. f. Partner with our SAP organization to develop additional interfaces to both send and receive data from our shop floor automation systems. g. Assist with global strategy as functionality is developed for US business. h. Ability to take control of a project from initial conception to completion. *2. Travel to seed manufacturing facilities to assist with day to day challenges, large scale business and IT changes and strategic direction for future IT possibilities. (20%)* a. Facilitate process improvement initiatives between site operations management, seed automation group and crop leads. b. Implement new IT functionality without interruption to existing plant schedules. c. Provide awareness of critical business processing periods giving personal attention as required to ensure smooth operation. d. Partner with business and IT management to understand complex business domain.
