Hope you are doing well, Please let me know if you are intrested or you have any suitable consultants available for the following position on ni...@techstargroup.com , 972-256-8207. *SQL Server Developer and DBA,* *Full time (GC, USC), * *Dallas, TX* The SQL Server Developer will be responsible for developing new and maintaining existing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages. In addition, the developer will be involved in the design and build out of Metrocare’s data warehouse. Stored procedure and/or SQL script development for data entry screens built in PowerBuilder will also be necessary. Must be able and willing to document code, mentor other developers, and tune existing code as necessary. The ideal candidate will have obtained Microsoft certifications and/or have experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* (Other duties may be assigned.) Ø Create innovative reports using SSRS and other Microsoft BI tools Ø Convert legacy DTS packages to SSIS Ø Create new SSIS packages and automate file transfer processes Ø Assist DBA with SQL code reviews and the mentoring of other developers Ø Tune existing code to reduce locking and performance issues Ø Contribute to the design and development of a new data warehouse Ø Enhance existing SSIS packages and SSRS reports as necessary Ø Analyze existing database applications for performance tuning, alerting and monitoring, work with the team to integrate efforts with relational databases. Ø Install and configure new SQL Servers. *COMPETENCIES:* The competencies listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ø Strong T-SQL programming skills, including the ability to tune, troubleshoot, and document queries using up-to-date methods and features Ø Solid knowledge of creating, managing, and deploying SSRS reports Ø Thorough understanding of relational database design and ETL concepts Ø Proficiency in using SSIS to import and export files to and from databases Ø Exhibit willingness to document code Ø Familiarity with cube development in SSAS, QlikView, and Microsoft Power BI Tools (Excel Services, Power Pivot, Power View, etc.) preferred Ø Knowledge of relational database design and maintenance.
