The Business Application Security component assesses, designs, and
implements capabilities, solutions, or preventative/remediation controls to
protect proprietary/confidential data and systems in accordance with
industry standards and governance/compliance requirements.
Analysts apply industry standard risk management techniques to determine
effectiveness of recommended or existing controls and create action plans
that accept, mitigate, transfer, or avoid identified risks.
Significant duties and responsibilities for this position:
· Applies information security common bodies of knowledge from
industry organizations in conjunction with State Farm's Enterprise
Information Security Policy and Enterprise Privacy Policy.
· Participates with business partners in strategic design to
translate security and business requirements into technical designs and
solutions.
· Researches/investigates emerging security topics, threats,
capabilities, and solution options. Applies research to policy and
governance, technology strategies, and solution architecture.
· Understands the evolving governance, compliance, and regulatory
landscape as it pertains to information security, advises on appropriate
areas of subject matter expertise, and assesses efficacy of controls.
Other duties and responsibilities and of this position:
· Significant understanding of OWASP principles, application
architecture, ESAPI Framework, and ITIL principles.
· High level understanding of privacy and compliance
considerations/regulations (state breach requirements, GLBA, HIPAA, etc.).

We need help filling the three (3) Infrastructure Analyst roles with the
same job description:
This request is for a LINUX Operating System Software resource on the
Enterprise Data Center migration project. Analysts fulfilling this request
will perform Linux OS admin tasks required by the project to migrate Linux
servers.
The individual will be responsible for the planning, consulting, technical
analysis, and implementation of Linux servers in the new data centers.
Work includes:
· Migration assessments, consulting, and implementation.
· Creation and updating documentation and support procedures.
· Working with areas to establish migration plans and schedule.
· Development and support of custom written LINUX scripts to support
the migration.
· Loading and configuring the Linux operating system using State
Farm’s process.
· Troubleshooting migration and environment issues.
· Work will require off-shift flexibility to implement during
available migration service windows.
Skills should include:
· Knowledge of Red Hat LINUX operating systems
· Knowledge of Red Hat Package Manager
· Knowledge of Secure Shell
· Knowledge of Shell Scripting
· Knowledge of Logical Volume Manger
