*Must have Retail Experience* Position: Test Engineer Location: Watsonville, CA Duration: 6+ months contract Responsibilities: Coordinate the testing tasks for assigned test projects, including developing the required test scripts test data and test metrics. Perform hands-on testing on multiple projects and application platforms. Execute required functional test according to written test scripts. Regularly verify resolved defects. Establish and maintain detailed test documents to ensure sufficient test coverage based on requirements and specifications Report the issues to Defect Tracking system (Quality Center/ALM) and diligently follow-up the defect status with the development team Participate in developing test automation scripts when applicable Be proactive in communicating issues and deadline risks to the QA Manager Perform any additional QA duties as assigned by the QA Manager Required Skills: Highly motivated in promoting quality software and have an acute attention to details Knowledge of software development life cycle concepts and the software testing process Must be a self-starter with effective communication skills, verbal and written Understand the software dependencies that exist among the various software applications to perform adequate testing Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently Familiarity with multi-channel retail systems’ software: POS, call center and online eCommerce.
