They are responsible for performance tuning and problem solving issues. They must have an “ownership” attitude and drive resolutions to problems that come up. They will identify, analyze and SOLVE performance tuning related issues and make recommendations. They also will be a part of production support on network problems and outage calls. They are part of the the Resolution SWAT team. *Skills and Experience* Candidate should have advanced shell scripting in a Linux environment with particular emphasis on system administration. Must demonstrate experience with file system maintenance, automation, backup and restore. Candidate should be comfortable debugging and maintaining an existing set of scripts and in porting scripts from AIX/Linux platform, as needed. Configuration management with Wiley and/or Splunk is a core requirement. Will be required to apply OS and application patches as well as create new nodes as needed. Experience maintaining Oracle and multiple other databases on a Linux and Windows platform. *Technology Stack* OS: Linux, AIX Shell: bash and ksh Configuration Management: Wily and Splunk DB: all types of DB ( Oracle to Sybase) *EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:* Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; minimum of 7 years of performance testing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
