Hi all, We have a few summer internship positions that may be available at our Center for Technology and Economic Development (CTED) ( http://nyuad.nyu.edu/cted/) at NYU. CTED is based out of NYU Abu Dhabi and we work actively in multiple countries including UAE, Ghana, Ethiopia, India and Pakistan. If you would like to work on an exciting ICTD project with us over summer, this could be an interesting opportunity. Attached is a brief job description. cheers Lakshmi CTED Summer Internship Job description: The Center for Technology and Economic Development (CTED) is looking for graduate student interns for the summer of 2013. We are specifically looking for students with a mix of good programming skills and strong interest in field works. The range of possible project areas are broad and include: - Mobile applications and wireless systems - ICTD systems for specific application areas including agriculture, health and education - Off-grid energy solutions (esp. energy monitoring/maintenance systems) - Large-scale data analysis, mining, and interactive visualization Requirements: - Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Economics program - Facility in C++, Python, Java and/or analysis tools like Matlab Depending on your summer schedule, the internship will run from 12-14 weeks. Only students who are eligible to intern in the UAE should apply.
