*** Hi everyone, Does your organization have projects in Myanmar? Does your organization run or support a program staffed with community health workers, agricultural extension workers, peer educators, field researchers, or a similar workforce? If yes, apply today for Dimagi's free CommCare <http://www.commcarehq.org/> workshop in Yangon, Myanmar to learn about how mobile technology can support your community program. CommCare is an easily customizable platform that tracks and supports frontline workers’ interactions with their clients. CommCare has been deployed in 35 countries and is used by thousands of frontline workers to track and support their clients with registration forms, checklists, SMS reminders, and audio and video messages. This leads to better data collection, reporting, management, community education, and community-level service provision. CommCare is being used in several projects in Myanmar, including to support TB patients, track pregnant women, and monitor farmers' output. These projects use Burmese fonts, work offline, and are designed for low-literate users. During the one-day CommCare workshop, participants will learn about mobile technology interventions including being introduced to Dimagi’s open source mobile tools. Participants will explore how mobile technology is being used across different sectors, learn about existing mobile programs in Myanmar, and brainstorm different ways mobile interventions can benefit their own programs. Workshop participants will have the option of attending a two-day advanced application building session from Sept. 25-26 to create their own mobile applications with Dimagi’s online, app-building tools. - *Dates: *September 16th from 9:00am - 3:30pm; optional, advanced workshop from September 25-26th. - *Location:* Mi Casa Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar - *Language: *English - *Cost:* Free - *Who should attend? *Directors, program managers, department heads, and academics from NGOs, IGOs, funding organizations, research institutions, government agencies, and universities.
