I am usually the lurking wallflower on the list, but I figured... "why not."
Thought I would let anyone who might be interested know, the Chamber is doing its annual Business Expo again this year and it is next week. I think in the past that Freenet had a booth, I don't remember seeing one this year. There are more than 150 booths so far, space is still open if Freenet or any of your companies might want to get in on it. I thought I would let the people on the list know that if you think you might want to take a little time to go to it, you can get in FREE (if you take a minute or two to print out the ticket (which gets you in the door)). This year's Expo is larger than in past years. If you have a mind to, you can get some of your business cards and a small memo pad and network (people to people rather than cat5 to equipment) with the people in booths. Who knows you might end up doing business with them or them doing business with you. Those of you with Freenet T-shirts could wear them as you walk around and who knows, someone might ask "who are you and what is Freenet?" Which might get someone else involved in the project in some way. Anyway I leave you with the "official" info on the event and the links and stuff: Thursday October 5, 2006 2006 Business Expo When: 3:30 PM Location: Columbus Convention & Trade Center; Grand Sponsor: WRBL News 3 Notes: Costs: Varying booth sizes from $150 to $10,000 / Contact: Michael Dunbar or Margaret LaPierre at 706-327-1566 More Info: http://www.columbusgachamber.com/expo06/ *** Ticket to get in FREE: http://www.columbusgachamber.com/expo06/tickets.pdf *** --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CHAOS706.ORG" group.
