Sing One for Sam
October 24, 2006
An Uptown bar is opening its doors and its cash registers to help a local musician.
The Loft is hosting a silent auction to benefit Sam Singer.
Singer took the stage many times at The Loft, playing for patrons on Open Mic Night. But, a diving accident in September left Sam a quadriplegic.
Sam will return to Columbus in January and his brother says he'll return to music, too. "He may not be able to play an instrument like he did before," George Singer says. "He wants some involvement in the industry."
The Loft in Uptown Columbus is hosting a silent auction Wednesday night at 7:00pm ET. A camper, recording session, and vacation are just some of the items to be auctioned off.
All of the proceeds from the auction and bar sales will go toward Sam's medical expenses.
