Of all the living modern horror writers, I think
Ligotti has the best chance at attaining the "classic"
status that writers such as HPL, and M.R. James have. 
When I re-read "The Music of Erich Zann" after reading
Ligotti's NIGHTMARE FACTORY I was suprised at how much
it read like a Ligotti story.
