Locating the source of roofing problems can be a challenge because most
evidence of a leak doesn't correspond with an obvious defect directly above.
As water tries to make its way to the lowest point it doesn't always follow the
path suggested by the pitch of the roof. I know people whose leaks came from
a poorly roofed/flashed firewall on the neighbor's roof.

I have to agree.

I have a leak in the third floor front, which no one has been able to find. In
fact, I offered a repairman $100 if he would just find the thing. He didn’t
find it.

James guaranteed he would find and fix it and that my roof/ceiling would no
longer leak.

I forget how much I paid him for that and other roof work; $700, I think.

It still leaked and leaks.

After all I had heard of his work, I was disappointed. He did come back and
told me he couldn’t find the leak.

I have not had him back since.

I found James McDonald's work to be awful! Everything he did on the back of my
house had to be torn up. Abot 15 gallons of warter got trapped under his job,
got rancid and had had to be redone. With the help of a lawyer, I got half of
my money back.

Ultimately I had Kelbie Roofing do the whole roof. They do an excellent job.
They have done others on my block with excellent results.
