It is an institution. A loooooooooooog time ago, when Anderson used
to sell and service VWs from that building on Howard Street, one of
my best memories was dropping my Golf off at the shop and then
heading to Wyman Park Restaurant for breakfast and a morning of
newspaper reading. I haven't been in there for a while but remember
it fondly.

You are right about the name, Emil. I agree that it is
a Baltimore institution, but it isn't a deli at all. The lunch
counter at The New Wyman Park Restaurant will you remind
of the soda fountains that many of the Read's drug stores
and five-and-dimes around town had. And it was not unusual
to see some of Baltimore's old school politicians, both saints
and sinners, holding court in the booths.
