I seem to remember seeing cache times which were much slower, in the past. I've found a few mentions of such times, but I don't have a good overall view of how cache times have changed from processor family to processor family. Does anyone else have a good reference? (Speaking of references, the above table is from http://www.amazon.com/Systems-Performance-Enterprise-Brendan-Gregg/dp/0133390098/ ).
