I found an interesting Wikipedia article, while perusing the category about array programming languages:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NGL_%28programming_language%29 This NGL is said to be a language with an iconical mathematical notation, presumably derived from APL, but whose implementation trans-compiles NGL code to J. I would like to try this beast out, but I cannot find any reference about it on Google, except for the Wikipedia page and its clones. There is a comp.lang.apl post from 2012, titled NGL, where no further light was shone on it. I have put Mr. Arredondo in CC because one of his older post on the J mailing list includes a reference to the path /home/vstar/ngl-beta/usr/mmftest.ijs, presumably from his machine. Do you or anybody else know anything about this NGL project? I have to admit that the only feature I dislike about J is its ASCII digraph notation, therefore I'm quite interested in a wrapper with an APL-like iconic one.
