I found it a little sad that at the slide where he says "DO loops are >50 years 
old (FORTRAN), lists are >50 years old (LISP)" but fails to mention that prefix 
and suffix scans and divide and conquer are also >50 years old.
Not sure if he genuinely unaware or this is some kind showmanship
