Dear APLers
During the last Minnowbrook we were discussing an idea of a summer
school where APL and functional communities could meet and learn from
each other. We would like to host such a summer school this year in
Edinburgh; and it would be very helpful if we could estimate the number
of APLers who would be interested to attend.
We are slowly putting together a webpage for the event:

The dates can still move a bit, but it will be late July or early
August. We intend to host the summer school at Heriot-Watt University
which gives us a chance to use local accommodation.
Currently, the estimated fee for five days is ~ £500-700 including
accommodation. If you prefer to stay in town, subtract £300 from the
fees. However, keep in mind that commuting would take about 30 minutes
one direction and hotel prices in August can be really high because of
the Edinburgh festival: https://www.edfringe.com/
In case you find the entire idea exciting and you are willing to attend,
please let me know. If I missed anybody, please forward this message on
my behalf to anyone who could be interested. I hope we can get enough
of a critical mass to make it all happen.
