Just now, I took my aoc day 3 input and sent it to myself as an email message.
The only problem I encountered was a lack of a "select all" option in my email reader. So I was rather awkwardly scrolling and updating the selected region. One of the awkward issues there is that the highlight depicting the selected region does not update smoothly, but updates after scrolling about half of the screen. So, I did not select the entire message for this experiment -- I was not that patient. Anyways, once I had a good chunk of text selected, in j701, I hit E which brought up the temp file. There, I entered: e=:0 :0 Then I pasted in the text Then I closed it with a ) After running the temp file: $e 858 $];._2 e 66 12 (I should update that phone to use the newer ios J, or get a new phone, but I have not done either of those yet. But the bigger problem, in this specific example, is selecting all lines of a message.)
