would get more people to look. The "headline" information there isn't very
"upbeat" - for example to say the "Typing discipline" is "strong" rather
than dynamic is just plain wrong....

It's not wrong, though it might not be complete.

If you follow the link, the Strong Typing page matches J's type
system. Of course, J's type system is also dynamic, but wikipedia
does not have a page on dynamic typing (it's a subsection of the
general page on types). Anyways, adding "dynamic" with an appropriate
link would probably be a good thing.

But here's an illustration of why J's type system is strong, rather
than weak:
   1+'1'
|domain error

I would say that was "safety" rather than typing, but maybe a quibble...

Following the links as you suggest I came across -

  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_programming_languages

I have no idea who might be reading those sections, but j has almost no mention in any of them. For example the "Arrays" link lists APL but the author didn't deal with index origin and other issues - j is missing from that page, and it could be added and included in the "vectorized" examples.

The question of how to publicize J is a tough one (unless someone wanted to spend a few $MM to do it... :)
