I can't get no authentication to work.
First, it is a real "pain", because the document says that the plaintext
authentication module is identified with the method keyword "pain" - not
"plain".
Then I only get "401 Authorization Required" whenever I ask for a page
"/nodoc" which was defined this way - accessing /doc is no problem at
the same time:
>From my modified "default" file:
#### snips #####
Directory /doc {
Handler common
DocumentRoot /usr/src/cherokee-0.5.5/doc/
}
Directory /nodoc {
Handler common
DocumentRoot /usr/src/cherokee-0.5.5/doc/
Auth Basic, Digest {
Method plain {
PasswdFile /var/plainpasswd
}
}
}
#### snips #####
And the password file is OK:
/ # cat /var/plainpasswd
me:me
I tested all kinds of browsers (K-Meleon, Firefox, IE-6) but they all
behave the same.
Thanks in advance for help,
Jens
