Hello,
I successfully compiled and ran Cherokee 6.00b700 in MinGW using:
CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/include" \
LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib" \
LIBS="-lssl \
-lcrypto \
-lws2_32 \
-lgdi32" \
./configure \
--prefix=c:/cherokee \
--sysconfdir=c:/cherokee \
--enable-trace \
--enable-static-module=all \
--enable-static \
--enable-shared=no \
--enable-beta \
--disable-pthread \
--disable-readdir_r \
--enable-tls=openssl
make
make install
Unfortunately, win32_misc.h has:
#define strerror(e) win_strerror(e)
but then win_strerror() in win32_misc.c calls strerror(), leading to infinite
recursion.
Here's a fix for it:
$ diff -uw cherokee/win32_misc.c.bak cherokee/win32_misc.c
--- cherokee/win32_misc.c.bak Wed Jan 10 07:22:50 2007
+++ cherokee/win32_misc.c Mon Jun 25 00:34:26 2007

/*
* A smarter strerror()
*/
+
+#ifdef strerror
+#undef strerror
+#endif
+
char *win_strerror (int err)
{
static char buf[512]; /* !! not thread-safe */
I'd be happy to commit this fix myself, if someone wants to grant me commit
access.
Here's the config file I used:
server!port = 80
server!port_tls = 443
server!timeout = 20
server!keepalive = 1
server!keepalive_max_requests = 1000
server!pid_file = c:/cherokee/var/cherokee.pid

Both http://localhost/ and https://localhost/index.html work,
but https://localhost/ returns:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html>
<head><title>403 Forbidden</title></head>
<body>
<h1>403 Forbidden</h1>
You have no access to the requested URL
<p><hr>
Cherokee web server Port 443 0.6.0b (Win32)
</body>
</html>
Is this a bug or a config file issue?
Thanks,
-Ross
