I also like Tango. However, there is an important issue that we  
couldn't address: we would need the icons to scale down to 16x16  
pixels and these desktop focused icons are not prepared for that; many  
of them would just look awful at that size.

At the end, I replaced the icon set with the Slik theme that Miguel  
Angel suggested. They look fairly good and the size is perfect for our  
purposes.
