Hello there, Cherokee will support it eventually. At first look I'd say it isn't a very important feature, although since all the required infrastructure is already in place it'd be trivial to implement, actually.
Lately, we've been talking about adding a new layer of processing rules to the server. I think it's a fairly good idea, so most probably that new feature will make it for Cherokee 1.0 (the upcoming Cherokee 0.99 release is due within the next few days). I'd suggest you to run two servers as a temporal solution/work-around while we get these last few details polished. Cheers!
