Please note that this package was compiling removing a patch [1] used in the Debian (and Ubuntu) build process to properly work with several architectures, and although it works correctly, might present problems outside of i386 and AMD64 architectures. I cannot dive right now to find what problem did Leonel have when compiling with this patch in, so it will take me a couple of days to review this for Debian.
