Hello! I'm not so easy giving up on Cherokee and declaring victory to Apache & co.
I'm trying to create rules for SEO-friendly URLs for MODX (http://modxcms.com/) CMS. It looks as all the other major webservers are supported except Cherokee. :-( Here is what I've found: a) Apache 1. # Friendly URLs Part 2. RewriteEngine On 3. RewriteBase / 4. RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} . 5. # Force all pages to go to www.domain.com for SEO 6. RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.DOMAINNAME\.TLD [NC] 7. RewriteRule (.*) http://www.DOMAINANME.TLD/$1 [R=301,L] 8. # Friendly URLs 9. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f 10. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d 11. RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA] 12. # Additional Settings Follow 13. ExpiresActive On 14. ExpiresByType image/gif A2592000 15. ExpiresByType image/jpeg A2592000 16. ExpiresByType image/png A2592000 17. BrowserMatch "MSIE" brokenvary=1 18. BrowserMatch "Mozilla/4.[0-9]{2}" brokenvary=1 19. BrowserMatch "Opera" !brokenvary 20. SetEnvIf brokenvary 1 force-no-vary The content of the above .htaccess file is from: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Using+Friendly+URLs There is also guide at http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Friendly_URLs_Guide which may be helpful for Cherokee and I'll consult it trying to make something out of it. b) lighttpd Here http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Friendly_URLs_on_lighttpd are the rules. c) nginx http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,35708.msg215744.html#msg215744 d) Zeus http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,14927 If anyone can help, please do it!! MODx is becoming bery powerful and popular CMS (in the range of big three - Drupal, Joomla and WP) and it's pity there is no Cherokee wizard available.
