Hallo,

just another problem occurred: I added a rule to handle all requests to
/static by static content handler. The problem is, that not neccessarily
a "static" folder exists under the specified webroot. I'd rather like to
strip the "/static" from the lookup path, so if I request
http://localhost/static/image.png, I'd like cherokee to respond with the
file under /var/www/image.png, if I specify /var/www as the document
root to use in the static content handler.
I can't simply redirect to /image.png (at least not as far as I
understand the redirect mechanisms), because as default handler a SCGI
source is attached, which can be accessed at all paths under /, except
of /static where the static files should be served. What I'd need would
be more like the URL-Rewrite mechanisms apache or lighttpd feature, to
make the static content handler use only the /image.png instead of the
/static/image.png for document retrieval.

Thanks for your help,
Julian
